Vintage 1930s Wood on Butterscotch BAKELITE Marlin Fish w/ Glass Eye Brooch Pin Measurements -Length: 4” This piece needs love. The clasp is frozen, but the pin moves in and out since it’s open. Because of the rust/tarnish, once put in place, it stays there, so it’s wearable. There’s also a crack in the BAKELITE part of the fish’s head. It’s on the back only; the wood front is unaffected. The brooch appears entirely undamaged from the front. This is a great piece for the collector on a budget! In perfect condition, these sell in the $200-$350+ range. NOTE: I’m finding that a crack along the head at this particular spot is not an uncommon occurrence in the fish wood/BAKELITE pieces; I’m not sure why.
