Bags designed by Marc Bohan for Christian Dior

This rare luggage collection was designed by Marc Bohan for Christian Dior’s first store in the United States. In 1948, a branch was established in New York City at the corner of 5th Avenue and 57th Street, “the first of its kind”. The Spring/Summer 1969 collection included the first launch of the Oblique canvas print on these luggage pieces. These pieces can be seen in Dior Monsieur boutique,1971. These designs have inspired the recent Summer 2018 collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri
