Reposhing this item I purchased from @kblachman. Beautiful shoe but is cut larger than typical 8.5. This fits more like a 9. If you are a true 8.5, this shoe will not fit well. After I purchased, I researched online to find out there are other buyer reviews confirming fit is not true to size.
Feel free to research on your own before buying.
I tried on the shoe once, did not wear outside.

Are you saying these are essentially new? Do you feel they are longer than most 8.5s or wider in tie box? Can you please explain. Did you find otger people felt the same way?

Hello! I'm sorry for the delay. These are pre owned with almost now wear on the bottoms. I purchased from another Posher who did not comment on the large fit, so I bought unknowingly.

The larger fit is in the length, not really in the width. It fits like a 9 or possibly a tight 9.5
After I bought, I did more research and found similar buyer reviews on the Nordstrom site and other sites

This particular shoe apparently is known to not fit true to size. Unfortunately I didn't do my research before I purchased.

I tried a heel insert I didn't feel it was a viable option. In my opinion if you are a true 8.5, this show will be not fit you.
