Originally considered to be titled 'Adrenaline Rush' or 'Heavy Duty', 'Bachman-Turner Overdrive II' helped to establish BTO as a new presence in rock 'n' roll and freed the Bachman brothers from their early association with the Guess Who. The album reached #4 on the US Billboard 200, and #6 on their native Canada albums chart. 'Bachman–Turner Overdrive II' includes BTO's first Top-40 single, 'Let It Ride', which peaked at #23 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The album's second and bigger hit single, 'Takin' Care of Business' reached #12 and became one of the band's most enduring anthems, staying on the Billboard chart for 20 weeks.
