It's very hard to find step ins that are brand new, they have some cosmetic blemishes but they are new - you can tell if step ins are well used by looking at the notches - if the notches don't have a lot of scraping etc than the boots have not been used much (because each time the boots are put into bindings the metal latches on the bindings scrape up the notches). The notches on these boots don't have marks (please see photo).
