This vintage vinyl LP from 1978 has been • CLEANED & PLAY-GRADED 👍 VG/VG 'Stranger in Town' is the tenth studio album by American rock singer Bob Seger and his second with the Silver Bullet Band, released by Capitol Records in May 1978. As with its predecessor 'Night Moves', the Silver Bullet Band backed Seger on about half of the songs and the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section backed Seger on the other half. 'Stranger in Town' became an instant success, peaking at #4 on the US Billboard 200 and achieving Platinum status in less than a month after its release. The four singles from the album all made the Top-40 of the Billboard Hot 100. 'Still the Same' shot to #4, 'Hollywood Nights' climbed to #12, 'We've Got Tonite' reached #13 and 'Old Time Rock and Roll' peaked at #28. 'Stranger in Town' was ultimately certified 6× Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
