The left boot has strings sticking out on inside from the lining. Please look closely at all pics. I can’t locate the size on these but I believe they are a size 9. Crazy but I used to wear a 9 - 9 1/2 after kids, now I’m back to an 8 - 8 1/2” and these are about a thumbs width roughly 1/2” - 3/4” to big for me now.
