msshoes11 Yes. Scammers are on the prowl! I noticed lower prices from sellers who copied previously sold listings. Most have no other listings, are a recent (Nov.-December 2021) posher, and no reviews. Be careful, if it’s too good to be true….

mssushiq @serieus when alert posts re scams, knockoffs/counterfeits, images are usually added: real v fake. Spell/Gypsy, a $$ brand (like JW) is a huge exmpl of this. Posh won’t send emails re this, but do seem to support member communication. (there’s always the good old report button). I’d also like som info re this. I’ll do som searching, If I find anything, I’ll post to this page. Pardon for going on esp if you’ mostly know all this, but hopefully helpful to you/others!

crown_n_glory @hauteagainposh I would like to know, too. Makes no sense because buyer has to accept item after it’s delivered. With tracking, it would need to be delivered and 3 days pass to get paid.

hauteagainposh @crown_n_glory I have seen people/scammers use other people's photos and try and sell items. I don't understand how they make money. I bought something and a buyer never shipped. posh refunded my money. other sites, I understand because they are paid first. That's why I like posh.

crown_n_glory @hauteagainposh Yeah, with tracking they know when an item is shipped and when it’s delivered. So maybe scammers get by with it on “e Bay” or other sites. I sold on “e Bay” years ago, and I can see how they could rip someone off on there. I hope they’ve changed how sellers are paid. It was 20 years ago when I sold on “e Bay”. (I’m getting old.)

hauteagainposh @crown_n_glory lol same! I stopped because it became too commercial with companies and fees. Then I found here. I would like to do more, maybe open a store or online consignment one day. Right now my schedule is crazy with work.
