These are a shorter version of running shorts. There is also a very convenient functional pocket built into the band of the shorts on the back side (4" wide x 2" deep). Pocket is large enough to hold keys, nutrition for long runs (Gu gel, etc). Really nice to have in a pair of running shorts! Great condition, tons of life left. There is a built-in elastic band that keeps the shorts in place. The size tag decal on the inner back side has rubbed off some due to wear, but is a Women's size Small based on flat measurements. There is a built-in crotch support within the shorts themselves, so adds extra compression for endurance or high-impact activities.
