A rare matched set, these leis feature a plethora of magical ocean shells in so many gentle colors- white, cream, brown, caramel, nerite black, peach and orange come together in a sweet crafting, meant to celebrate love. Perfect for a beach wedding, these are waiting for the right beach bride. Classic cowries form the backbone of these creations, with rare and lovely examples from the Cook Islands, and Raratonga Tahiti in the stations. The spirals are very rare, and the small shells are all endangered. Its sadly expected that this art form will suffer as loss of reef and ocean warming continue. Most likely 1920’s or 30’s, Antique True Vintage, strung on cotton or silk, has some broken shells but given the age they’re holding up really well. 34” & 37” respectively Sold together as a set.
