Authentic Vintage 1940s Stamped Silver & Gold Pinwheel Ribbon Clip On Earrings

Vintage silver clip-on pinwheel earrings. Stamped PAT 156452, circa 1940s. Two-toned pinwheel design with matte textured gold-toned ribbon (unsure if intentional or tarnish) polished silver trim, & center bead. Single solid metal component. Hinged clip on backing with wide comfort pad. PAT 156452 stamped on inner arm. Jewelry designs prior to 1950s received patent numbers. A patent database search dates these as approximately 1940. I believe these are sterling silver according to preliminary research into similar styles & makes of this era. Excellent vintage condition! Normal patina from age. All components secure & sturdy. Lightly polished with a silver polishing cloth for pictures, though a professional jeweler would be able to really make these shine! *I have a second pair of these for sale as well.
