@lovelyleoqueen there are 2 rubber bumpers that go on the side of the piece & are there only for the purpose of laying the luggage on its side. of course you can still lay the bag on its side without them just like every other piece of luggage. unfortunately, they tend to crack and break easily, which has been an ongoing issue with LV luggage for decades, so they've been removed. it doesn't negatively impact the functionality of the bag in anyway. it's just more of an aesthetic thing.
