Authentic HERMES SCARF FEUX D'ARTIFICE 150th Anniversary Michel Duchene 1980s
Published in 1987, Special edition in jacquard silk, made to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Hermès house.
Founded in Paris in 1837 by Thierry Hermès, the Hermès house was originally a harness and saddle manufacturer. Hermès is a family business that still belongs to the founder's heirs today. The rider in the center of the square corresponds to the equestrian statue that can be seen by looking up, rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré, on the roof of the Hermès house. Hermès has done the first tie in 1932 and 5 years later, in 1937, has done the first scarf.
This scarf is Preowned , I inherited it from my great Aunts vintage scarf collection . Check out my other scarves and save on shipping.
There is a slight smudge that is hardly noticeable on that doesn’t detract from the over all look and function of this designer scarf. It is under the front raised leg. I’m sure you could have it cleaned and removed.
