Authentic African mudcloth backpack

Beautiful African mudcloth backpack with four compartments. Approximately 14” X 17” X 6” Clean, never been used….zippers work well The process of creating mudcloth - Artisans begin by soaking cotton cloth in a dye bath of tree leaves. Historically, the cloth is sun-dried then painted repeatedly with fermented mud, which chemically reacts with the tree leaves and leaves the cloth a rich brown even after the mud is washed off. I lived in Africa for 11 years and have always been intrigued with the process of making these beautiful works of art.
