Austin Reed Plaid Wool Skirt Suit Size 8

Beautifully made vintage Austin Reed windowpane plaid skirt suit. Single breasted jacket has a single front button, four buttons on each cuff, two jetted pockets outside (only one has been opened) and one inside. Skirt has a back vent with two buttons, and a pocket and inner zipper on the left side with a button outside and metal hook and bar closure inside. Both pieces are fully lined. The color is a muted deep bluish gray. I couldn’t find a fiber tag, but I’m quite sure it’s 100% wool (other than the lining). Made in the USA. This suit is in great vintage condition—the only flaws noted are a tiny hole in the lining of the jacket (see 6th photo), and a tiny hole in the left sleeve that has been sewn shut (see 7th photo). NOTE: The skirt has been hemmed (see 14th photo).
