Aurora Borealis Crystal Button - Cuff - Jewelry

I don't know what this is, but it's awfully pretty and sparkly. I asked someone who answered me with a logical response and said it is a button. Another person said it is a form of a cufflink for a tuxedo. And, I thought it was an earring for people with very big pierced holes. If you know, please share with me. 😉
