Beautiful vintage 1950s Astrakhan Persian lamb fur coat, made in France and styled by Sportowne, featuring a plush black curly karakul lamb exterior with a soft blonde mink fur shawl collar and deep plum satin lining. This luxurious mid-century piece closes with two original embossed swirl buttons and drapes elegantly to the knee, showcasing the signature Old Hollywood / “mob wife” glamour aesthetic. Interior label reads Astrachan – Made in France – Styled by Sportowne, with an original ILGWU union tag confirming authentic mid-century craftsmanship (1955–1963 era). Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The fur is glossy and supple, the lining smooth, and the overall structure intact. There is a small, non-structural seam separation at the right shoulder where the mink collar meets the Astrakhan body (see close-up). It does not affect wear or function and can be easily repaired with a quick hand stitch. Professionally clean only (“Hollanderize” method recommended).
