synthiafetke How does a trade work?
May 03Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @synthiafetke Well, trading is something that is highly discouraged for obvious reasons (PM doesn't get their cut and not all sellers are "honest sellers"). Those sellers who trade each have their own way of doing it! Yikes, I wasn't much of a help with that question, was I? 😋
May 03Reply
synthiafetke
synthiafetke Nope that helped! It didn't seem very smart to me either. Please follow me so I can sell some of my closet! It'd be highly appreciated!

cmarshall38 Question: How can highlight my items for sale on the main feed more than once?
May 03Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @cmarshall38 Awe, well thank you! And I am on vacation, but if I can't ship items from the beach I may as well make myself useful somehow. 😊 To answer you question, you can "share" items as many times as you like. BUT, I find that sharing items at posh parties is what really helped me to sell when I first started out on Poshmark. When you share at posh parties, anyone who is attending the party can see your items and not just your followers. This helps you get more followers as well!
May 03Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @cmarshall38 ...not to mention that sharing at the parties is what gets your closet noticed by katef and the other Poshmark gals...and "Suggested User" status can follow after that! 😉

kelsea20 PM protects buyers by allowing them to receive their item and then notifying PM to release the funds to the seller. How is the seller protected? What if they send the item and even though it has been received on the other end the buyer never says anything?
May 08Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @kelsea20 Hi there! Luckily, I have not had a problem buying or selling on Poshmark. But, that is not to say it couldn't happen (unfortunately, there are many dishonest people out there.) If you take a peek at the FAQ's section under "What should I do when I receive my order?" - it briefly touches on seller protection. Here is an excerpt: "Please note that once you accept an order (or 3 days has passed since order receipt) we have released your payment to the seller..." I interpret that as once 3 days has passed since the item has been confirmed as "delivered," the funds will be deposited into the seller's account whether or not the buyer has "accepted" the package. It is the buyer's responsibility to file a claim with Poshmark if they did not receive the item on the delivery date stated on the package tracking. This is where I find the Priority Mail w/ package tracking so useful (for both buyer and seller!) I am not a Poshmark employee, nor have I run into this problem as of yet (fingers crossed it doesn't happen ever), so I am by no means an expert. If you have further questions on this subject you can submit your questions to support(at)poshmark.com. Hope I helped a bit! Happy (and safe!) Poshing!

snownotsowhite How do I receive the shipping label so i can ship a purchased item?
May 09Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @snownotsowhite The shipping label should have been emailed to you as soon as the item was purchased from your closet! If you need it resent, go into "My Sales," click on the item you need the label for and choose "Need New Shipping Label." From there you can click that you never received your label and it will be resent to your email on file.

cmarshall38
cmarshall38 @brazenskirt how can I write a note to my followers in my closet? I'm stumped!
May 09Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @cmarshall38 It took me a good month to figure it out! There are a couple of ways to convey messages to your followers through a Poshmark listing. The first way: Open up the notepad on your iPhone; type whatever it is you want; take a screenshot by pressing the power button (top right) and menu button (circle button). This saves a screenshot to your camera and you can create a listing using the screenshot (this would be like my "Welcome to my closet" post.) The second way: Take your own photo and superimpose text over it using a camera app like snapseed, phonto or pic stitch! (This would be like my "new items added today" post!) Let me know if you have further questions on the topic :)

kelsea20
kelsea20 Does the account you transfer your redeemable money to have to be your account? I sold some items for someone and transferred the money into their account and they say that it went in but then got took back out and it said reverse without matching name on account or something like that.
May 09Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @kelsea20 Due to the fact that you received the error message stating that the name on your posh account and the name on the bank account doesn't match, I would have to assume that the funds can only be deposited into your bank account. Look at it from this perspective: Just as with a paycheck or a tax refund, banks are supposed to reject deposits when the name on the transaction does not closely match the name on the account. If you look at your sales funds as a "paycheck" it seems a bit easier to understand.
May 10Reply
kelsea20
kelsea20 When transferring the payment postmark doesn't ask for the name on the account you are sending it to so how would PM kno if that account is yours or not?
May 10Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @kelsea20 The bank would have rejected the deposit, not Poshmark. This is a little out of my realm of expertise though. I would suggest emailing Poshmark support.

snownotsowhite
snownotsowhite I purchased about 5 items on here. 3 are regular charges on my credit card, but the rest say recurring. What does that mean? Why would it say recurring?
May 12Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @snownotsowhite Hi! Are the charges correct - or are you more concerned with just the reason why it is listed as "recurring?" If you are being double charged or charged incorrectly, I would contact Poshmark at support(at)Poshmark(dot)com. The way your purchases are being represented on your statement is up to your banking institution! I would keep an eye on your statements to make sure that there are no charges going through that you are not responsible for. *I am not a banker or a Poshmark employee, but I had a similar problem with eBay once and it turned out to be nothing...just the way my bank was flagging transactions.

thebrazenskirt @cmarshall38 Lol! That's ok! I use the phonto and picstitch apps. You find a photo you like like (or take your own photo), upload it into the phonto or picstitch app, and the type text over it! Phonto has a lot of different fonts. You then just upload it onto Poshmark like you would any other listing. :)

thebrazenskirt @glittercity Hi there! If you're using a PC click the "Parties Tab" on the bar at the top of the screen. If you're using the Poshmark App on your iPhone/iPad, click the "Parties" tab at the bottom of the screen. From there, you can view the current or upcoming parties. You can only "JOIN" parties that are currently going on. Parties begin at 9am, 12pm & 7pm (Pacific Time Zone) and last 2 hours each. You can share items from your closet to a party by clicking the "SHARE" button next to your item(s). When the party is going on, it will give you the option to share the item to that party! Try it out by sharing to the next party and LMK if you have any trouble! Happy Poshmarking! :)

zarrinzinat
zarrinzinat Hey! I'm always sharing stuff to the parties, but nothing ever gets listed there :( Why does that happen?
Jun 07Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @zarrinzinat Hi there! If you are sharing your items to a Posh Party, they are being listed! Thousands of people are sharing their items as well, so if you think your items are not being listed because you can't see them in the feed, have no fear! You items are on there, just further down on the list because so many people are posting at once! Also make sure that your item fits the "theme." If you are trying to share (for ex.) an American Eagle top at a Gucci, Michael Kors, LV Party - it will now show up in the party. Does that answer your question?
Jun 07Reply

thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @lolatitebi315 Hi girl! Sorry, somehow your post didn't show up in my feed so I didn't see it until now. You can check out: https://poshmark.com/faq and that will give you tips on how to upload your first item. After you have your items uploaded, you need to start recruiting followers. I found the easiest way to recruit followers when I first started was to share other posher's closets. In turn, they will most likely share yours as well and follow you if they love your closet! Another way to share your closet is by joining a Posh Party (see my reply to GLITTERYCITY above for more information on that.) As I said above, the advantage to sharing at a Posh Party is that every person who attends is able to see your items (not just you followers). Sharing to Posh Parties is another way to recruit followers!

cdaye11 probably a stupid question but I'm curious about selling..once you sell an item, the money is received in your "posh funds" I believe. can you then redeem it to your own bank account to get the money or do you have to use it for other purchases on posh?
Jun 08Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @cdaye11 Not a stupid question! Yes, you can redeem your funds into your bank account. In the bottom right corner of the Poshmark app, you'll click on the tab thy displays your username, from there scroll down to the "My Balance" tab. You will see how much money you can redeem there. Click on that redeemable amount and you will have the option of a bank direct deposit. It usually takes about 3 days to receive the funds. 💛

lhalttunen @thebrazenskirt I need help making a sale...I feel like I have reasonable prices on my items and people like them and I try to attend all the parties I can and I still have not made a sale...what else can I do?
Jun 09Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @lhalttunen Hi there! I will agree that you have reasonable prices on your items (I liked and shared a few!) I'm curious as to how long you've been a Poshmark member? I would say it was about 3-4 weeks before I made my first sale. Here are a few things I've learned about selling since that time: First and foremost, I think that buyers are attracted to closets that are visually appealing. Modeling your items would be best, but if you don't have the time to model every single item (like me!), you can arrange them in outfits or place them on a maidenform. I really like the layout of these ladies closets, so check them out for other examples: @mschilly & @megcarlson27. Secondly, I think that the more followers you have, the more chances you have to sell items (when you are "sharing" your items, only your followers see them!) Sharing other posher's items and sharing back once someone shares your item is a perfect way to get followers - and keep sharing in those posh parties! Lastly (and this just my own personal tip), I am noticing you have a lot of work out clothing. Try typing in the search bar "looking for workout clothes" or something of that nature. Sometimes people will post items that they are looking for and that gives you the opportunity to reply to their post letting them know you have workout items. (Here's one, for instance: https://poshmark.com/listing/51a9683963428042c4007c12 Be patient, you'll make that first sale - and don't hesitate to come back with other questions :)

nkrueger
nkrueger Hi there! I've seen some people, like yourself, with 50,000+ or even 100,000+ followers. How do you guys get so many?! Also, how do I go about getting an item featured as a host pick in a party? Is it just dumb luck that my item is noticed among the thousands being shared? Does it matter if I share my item immediately when the party starts? Sorry for so many questions!
Jun 09Reply
blacklacexoxo
blacklacexoxo Hi! Thanks for doing this! First question is when you buy, do you have to pay the shipping for EACH item? What does the 25 or more shipping mean? Does that mean if you buy $25 or more worth of stuff from that person or one item listed has to be $25 or more? Second question is that I don't get the whole bundling thing. As a buyer and a seller how does that work. I plan to buy and sell. :)
Jun 09Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @nkrueger Hi girl! I have as many followers as I do because Poshmark has named me a "Suggested User" twice. (I am actually bring featured as one now!) When you are a suggested user everyone who downloads the Poshmark app during that week automatically follows you. Truthfully, I don't know the requirements for being a suggested user, but I think they pick 5-6 users a week. Some of the girls you are with 100,000+ followers may even work for Poshmark and everyone follows them :)
Jun 09Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @nkrueger Sorry! I didn't address the other question...it does have a lot to do with "luck," but the best advice I can give is to make your listings visually appealing (modeling, place with outfits) so that it draws the attention of the host! Also, make sure your items fit the theme of the party!
Jun 09Reply
nkrueger
nkrueger Thanks for answering my questions so quickly!
Jun 09Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @blacklacexoxo Both your questions go hand in hand! If you are purchasing two items from the same posher's closet, then you can ask them if they do a "bundle discount" to help you save on shipping. All posher's have their own rules and discounts, but as an example, if you are interested in two or more New With Tags items from my closet, I will list the two items in the same listing and give you a 10% discount. If you look in my closet you'll see sold items (at the bottom) and most are listing with more than one item. This way, you don't have to pay two separate shipping costs. However, there is no way to bundle items from two different closets, so there will be separate shipping costs associated with those items!

mzkarmel08 Hii so im new to this and a little confused my question may be stupid lol but i was trying to take a picture of my first item and when i took it, the pic became the cover photo and next to it said add the item. so my question is what is a cover photo ?and really how does all this work? Lol
Jun 10Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @mzkarmel08 You can add multiple photos to a listing, but the cover photo is the photo that everyone will see when they visit you closet. As an example, visit my closet and click on the listing of the yellow lace dress. You can see that there are other photos attached, but only the cover photo is seen until the listing is clicked on.

I might suggest emailing Poshmark and asking them to add the brand. That may be why it didn't show up!

thebrazenskirt @lexyyandersonn Since you're fairly new to PM, I decided to switch your question over to this listing. Feel free to scan through other newbies questions for some other answers. If you see above at my response to nkrueger's question, I'm not real sure what the requirements are for becoming a suggested user. If I had to guess, I would say a reasonably priced and visually appealing closet. Before I was named a suggested user the first time, I was sharing in posh parties ALOT and had a lot of host picks which is what I think initially got my closet noticed! I haven't been able to really pinpoint what the requirements are, but I think they pick 4-5 a week. :)

Jun 10Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @lacey_kaylie When someone is interested in your item it usually begins with a "like." Oftentimes, buyers will try to negotiate with you and all sellers have their own policies and discounts. For instance, I don't typically give any discounts on single items because I keep my prices really low to begin with, but I will offer a 10-15% discount when someone wants to purchase multiple items from my closet. See my response to blacklacexoxo above for more info on "bundle discounts." once you and your buyer come to a price agreement. All the buyer has to do is hit the "Buy Now" button. After they have completed their purchase you will receive A pre-paid and Pre- addressed shipping label at the email out have on file. All you have to do is print and place on your package! (Note: The shipping label will be Priority Mail, so you can use any plain old box OR you can go to the post office and pick up Priority boxes or envelopes for FREE!)

One quick question will the buyer know that the items (a pair of nike shoes & a messenger bag) they purchased will cost them extra for shipping?? I'm so sorry can you help me understand the shipping rules ?? 😩
Jun 11Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @pixela Hi there! No problem - after the buyer hits the "BUY NOW" button on your listing, they will be taken to a check out page where the shipping cost will be listed. When I made my first buy, I wasn't quite sure about shipping until I made it to the checkout page. If you are asked by a newbie buyer, here are the shipping rates: Poshmark’s standard shipping rate is $4.99 for all orders $25 and above and $6.99 for all other orders. To save on shipping, most posher's offer "Bundle Discounts" if a buyer is interested in buying more than one item from your closet- you can read more about that in my answer above to blacelacexoxo. :)
Jun 11Reply
lexyyandersonn
lexyyandersonn thankyou!(:
Jun 11Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @pixela One other thing - if you go into my closet and scroll to the very bottom where all the SOLD items are, you'll see that most of my sales have more than one item per listing (that's a "bundle!"). You can use an app like Pic Stitch to put two items together in one photo. This way, if someone wanted to buy a that pair of Nikes AND the messanger bag, you could put it in one listing and ship together so that there is only a single shipping cost.

sapna3 @thebrazenskirt first off thanks for this post! I've been on Posh for about a month and have sold two items. Any tips for making each listing appealing? I've gained a few pounds and modeling the clothes wouldn't help. Should I describe them better? Also some of the photos look almost professional, my iPhone can't compare! Should I start "staging" my photos? Lastly, on a personal note, have you turned this into a business? I'm just trying to clean out my closet but this site has so much potential! Again, thank you thank you thank you!!

Jun 14Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @sapna3 Sorry for the delay in answering...I had a post-op surgery appt. for my foster doggie today! I tell a lot of ladies who ask the question "how can I sell more": make sure your closet is visually appealing! Modeling is always the best way to get your closet noticed, but if you're like me and don't have time for that I would suggest placing your "for sale" items with other pieces to make outfits like my listings. A buyer may ask you to model an item they are interested in - as long as they fit me, I typically will do that upon request! Check out @kimsalittlepea and @megcarlson27 for some other ideas on how to style your closet. :) I have not turned this into a business, but have made enough for a decent down payment on a car. I feel pretty confident saying that if I had more time, I could turn a bigger profit. And, lastly - unfortunately you can only list on the iPhone/iPad app right now. I agree that a PC is sometimes a little easier. Did this answer your questions?

sanfranstyle Hi Kay! Really nice of you to have this Q &A. I think it is really helpful and great for the Posh community! I have been on Poshmark for about a month and have had very good luck so far but I find it a ton of work to get followers quickly. I have tried to make my closet pretty and listen to your suggestions! Would love it if you would follow me too! Thanks for the share! Happy Poshing!

thebrazenskirt @taylorarobinson hi, girl! Nope, no credit card needed to receive funds. Once the buyer receives your item, they will have to first "accept" it so that your earnings are deposited into your Poshmark account. Once that happens, you can click on your username (bottom right hand corner of the app), click "Balance," then click "redeem." From there you'll have the option of choosing a bank direct deposit or a check.

thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @mabmarie Hey there! I've done a couple of different things when shipping shoes (usually depending upon value of shoes). If its a designer or other high value shoe, I typically stuff the shoes with paper (inside original shoe box...this helps to protect from moisture) and buy another shipping box big enough to fit the shoes in their original box. Otherwise, I usually wrap the shoebox in 2 layers of brown shipping paper and place the label directly on there. If I don't have a box, I stuff the shoes with paper to keep form and wrap in bubble wrap before I put them in a priority mail box to ship. Note: Depending on how you wrap them, sometimes the package is over 2 lbs which means you will have to pay an extra shipping fee, so don't forget to update and print a new label!

cmarshall38 @thebrazenskirt I have a bag that I'm selling. I think it may be over 2 lbs after its packaged up. How do I have the seller cover the extra cost of shipping when it sells?
Jul 06Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @cmarshall38 Technically, the seller is the one who pays the extra charge (since it will deduct from your balance). If you want the buyer to cover the charge, you would have to add the additional charge onto their total before they purchase the item. To print a new shipping label: find the item in your sold items list and click on it, click "need new shipping label" and from the drop down bar choose how many pounds you need. Once you submit it, you will receive the new shipping label to your email.

skyerandi How did you get so many followers? :)
Jul 17Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @skyerandi Hi there! Since I've been on Poshmark (April 2013), I've been named a "Suggested User" multiple times. At first, when you were a Suggested User, all those who downloaded the Poshmark app for that particular week automatically followed you. That's where the bulk of my followers came from. Now, Poshmark has a Suggested User Program in which those who download the app and match your size descriptions automatically follow you (I just became a member of that program last week). Here are the criteria (copy/pasted directly from the email I receieved): •You're in good standing with the community and follow the Poshmark Terms of Service •Your stellar sales history proves that people love purchasing from you •You have awesome, thoughtful and clear Covershots and descriptions •You're great at networking, connecting and educating other users •Your closet is bursting at the seams with tons of listings just waiting to be sold •You have an eye for finding and sharing great listings When people ask me this question, I just tell them to "keep at it." I think my closet first got recognized because I shared appropriate items that matched the party themes. Once any or some of your items are chosen as "HOST PICKS" during the parties - you have a better chance at getting your full closet recognized..

nicholedl777
nicholedl777 @thebrazenskirt How can I increase my chances of making a sale? I have yet to make one.
Jul 22Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @kaylamarie_ Hi there! (Nice name, it's mine too!). Bundling is a simple way of helping the buyer save costs on shipping. If you are interested purchasing more than one item from the same posher's closet, then you can ask them if they "bundle" to help you save on shipping. This just means they will put both the items in one listing and combine the totals - so you only have to pay one shipping fee! Additionally, most posher's will provide an additional discount if you purchase more than one item. All poshers have their own rules and discounts, but as an example, if you are interested in two or more New With Tags items from my closet, I will list the two items in the same listing and give you an 10% discount. If you look in my closet you'll see sold items (at the bottom) and most are listed with more than one item. However, there is no way to bundle items from two different closets, so there will be separate shipping costs associated with those items!

nicholedl777 @thebrazenskirt and would you mind sharing some of my items as you have so many followers?
Jul 22Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @nicholedl777 If you haven't already checked out Poshmark's "Tips for How to Make Your First Sale," you can do so here: https://poshmark.com/posh_guide/tips_how_to_make_first_ Here are some tips for what I think helped to make me by first sale: First, recruit followers! I first started recruiting by sharing other posher's closets. In turn, they will most likely share yours as well and follow you if you share the same style. Second, SHARE, SHARE, SHARE from other posher's closets. When I first started out, I gained a lot of followers by visiting the closets of posher's who "liked" the same items as me. When you like the same item as another posher, chances are you have similiar style. Visit their closets and share their items! They may share and follow in return! Third, SHARE, SHARE, SHARE your own closet! When you are first starting out and don't have many followers, the best thing to do is share your items to Posh Parties. Every person who attends a Posh Party is able to see your items (and there are thousands of users who attend!!). I also feel it's very important to only share items from your closet that MATCH the theme of the party. You have a better chance of getting your items noticed by the host if you stick with the theme. Lastly, network with other users. I have made some Posh friends in the last few months who support me by regularly sharing my closet and vice versa. Gals with style similar to yours could be some of your greatest allies. :) Note: I have a lot of followers now because I have been named a Suggested User multiple times. When you are a suggested user, everyone who joins Poshmark during that designated week automatically follows you. I became a suggested user after I had multiple host picks appear in a party - so keep sharing to those parties!

Jul 27Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @caro86101 Hi! Once your item sells, you will immediately receive any email (to the email you have on file) with the pre-paid shipping label. All you have to do is print the label, attach to your package and drop it at the post office. As a responsible seller you are expected to ship sold items out quickly. I typically ship same day/next day unless some other agreement has been agreed upon with the buyer. The shipping label will be dated with the sell date, so you don't want to wait so long that it expires (sometimes post offices won't accept them if a few days have gone by.) One last note: The buyer pays a shipping fee at check out, however the shipping fee only covers up to 2 lbs. if your items weighs more than 2 lbs, you will have to update the shipping label to the correct weight and the fee is your responsibility as the seller. You can update shipping labels by clicking your name icon at the bottom of iPhone, clicking "My Sales", clicking on the item and updating the label from there.

thebrazenskirt @paulaisela Hi there. Trading does not conform with Poshmark's terms and services. I never tell Posher's what to do when they ask, but I don't encourage it. Reserving is just something a buyer and seller can decide to do if the buyer does not have the funds to purchase right away. Whether or not an item can be reserved is at the discretion of the seller! Some sellers will keep on hold for 24 hrs...others may even hold for 2 weeks!

sasa2013 Hello there, I am quite new on PM. I started around end of June 2013. My question is have you ever dealt with a buyer that said that your item isn't Authentic after we delivered to them, but we are honest people n I don't carry inspired items. This is the first time I tried to do business on PM but i feel really down after that buyer post that message n said that she is going to send it back to me. What should I do? Any advice? btw Thank you so much
Aug 02Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @sasa2013 Awe, I'm really sorry that's happened to you. I have never had a run in with someone who didn't think my items were authentic, however, I did accidentally misprint a shoe size once so that when the buyer received her item it ended up not fitting her. I am all about customer service, so I refunded her money via paypal (shipping included) and asked that she send them back to me. You end up losing 20%, but it's worth not having an angry seller fill your closet with nasty comments. I felt the SAME way after that happened (it my second or third sale!), but it all worked out! Don't let it get you down :)

Aug 03Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @toastybit In order to get all your sold items to the bottom of your closet you have to share all the items that are NOT sold and it pushes them to the bottom! Some people will make a "All item past this point are sold" listing using the Notes app or and app like Phonto.

jadorable911 @thebrazenskirt What does it mean to pay through PayPal?
Aug 05Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @jadorable911 Hi there! Poshmark's rules and regulations stipulate that paying outside of Poshmark is not allowed. But, PayPal is useful for many other things - it is a "safe" way of accepting and making payments without directly using your debit card. Sometimes Poshmark buyers will ask you to pay via paypal (to get around the fee that Poshmark charges). Any seller or buyer that utilizes PayPal on Poshmark will have their closet shut down if they are reported - so be careful! :)

Aug 08Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @jenniferthomas Did you have any conversation with the seller before you purchased? I always like to negotiate and/or search through their listings to see if there's been any recent communication with other buyers. This is just to make sure the closet has an active seller! I also look for any sign that the seller might be on vacation - I always make a listing that says when I'm on vacation, but not all posher's do that. Did you receive the tracking confirmation to your email?
Aug 08Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @jenniferthomas I did some research. While most sellers ship within 3-5 days of the order, they have up to ten days to ship the items. You can only cancel an order after the ten days of non-shipment are up OR within a 3 hour time period after you made the purchase. If you click your username in the bottom right corner of the app, click on "My Puchases", click on "Problems/Order Inquiry" you will see there are a few options listed. One of the options is "Order Delayed." After the 10 day period is up, I believe that is where you click to cancel your order. You can also contact Poshmark support at support(at)poshmark.com

kristencampbell Hi! I realize you've probably answered this question like fifty times but I didn't see it so i figured I'd ask. I don't really understand what happens when people share my listings and I don't really understand posh parties!
Aug 12Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @kristencampbell Hi! When people share your listings, they will show up on the "Feed" of everyone that follows them. When you share your own listings, they only show up on your feed - so it's great when other people share your listings because more than just those who follow you are seeing them. This helps you to gain more followers, so be sure to return the favor :) ! Posh Parties are ANOTHER way you can get your items seen. There are hundreds of people participating in parties everyday and when you (or others) share your items to a party, all of those people have the opportunity to see that listing! I highly recommend sharing to Posh Parties - it has always helped me gain more followers and make sales!

paigeavery Hi! When someone buys an item of yours, does PM send you a check?
Aug 17Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @paigeavery Hi there! When you make a sale on Poshmark, your earnings will be deposited into your Poshmark account. Once you ship the item and the buyer recieves it, your earning will be redeemable. You can leave the balance in your poshmark account and use it to purchase items on Poshmark. If you want to withdrawl your money, the fastest and easiest way is to use direct deposit to transfer your funds directly into your bank account. However, Poshmark will send you a check if that is the way you prefer to withdrawl. Go to Account → My Balance → Redeemable. If you are requesting a direct deposit, make sure you enter your account number and routing number correctly. If you are requesting a check, be sure to double check the mailing address you entered and the name that the check should be made out to.

Do they send you an email, or do toy have to keep checking the main page of the website on your home computer? My next question is, how does one become a host? Can you volunteer? If so who do you contact? And if not, how do you get recognized to be selected as a host? I see some posters who notify there followers that they will be hosting a posh party a whole month in advance! How does that happen? And sometimes I see the same people getting pic to be host, and some tat only have 150 followers. Does the number of followers you have increase your chances? Sorry for all the questions.

thebrazenskirt @les28872 About a month ago, PM began emailing those users who were part of the suggested user program. Prior to that, it was pretty easy to decifer if you were a suggester user because your number of followers would sky rocket in a day and you would see yourself appear in the "Suggested Users" list. Here is the current criteria (taken directly from the email I recieved) •You're in good standing with the community and follow the Poshmark Terms of Service •Your stellar sales history proves that people love purchasing from you •You have awesome, thoughtful and clear Covershots and descriptions •You're great at networking, connecting and educating other users •Your closet is bursting at the seams with tons of listings just waiting to be sold •You have an eye for finding and sharing great listings. marietheo
marietheo @thebrazenskirt I've been on Poshmark since July and have figured most things out by trial and error! But I do have a couple of questions. Do your party listings appear only once regardless of how often you share them? Or do they reappear each time you share? Also, what is the difference between sharing your listings and updating them? Do you have to update to get your listings to appear at the top of the search sections? Or does sharing take care of that? And a big THANK YOU for taking the time to help out Newbies!👏👏👏
Sep 11Reply
marietheo
marietheo @thebrazenskirt Thought of another question. Is there a way to update or share a group of listings with one click? It's very time consuming when your closet grows to share and/or update each listing individually! Again, thank you so very much for taking the time to help fellow Poshers!
Sep 11Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @marietheo Sorry, girl! It's been a very busy day at work. Let me address your questions: 1. Your party listings should appear as many times as you share them. You have to keep in mind hundreds of other poshers are posting to the parties, so if you're looking for your items as the party is happening chances are they would be very hard to locate! 2. I'm not sure what you mean by "updating." I've never actually used that term on Poshmark. However, if what you're asking is "how do I get my items to appear at the top of search listings?" you would have to edit them often. For instance, if I put a size medium skirt "on sale" and a changed the price, the skirt would then appear at the top of listings if you searched for a size medium skirt. Or, if I listed an item for the first time - it would also appear at the top of the search listings. Again, posher's are adding and changing listings constantly so to keep your items at the top of a search would be fairly difficult. 3. I am not aware of a way to share a group of listings with one click - but, boy, that would be a HUGE help. Maybe shoot a quick email to Poshmark with that suggestion! :) Hope I answered your questions!
Sep 11Reply
marietheo
marietheo @thebrazenskirt Thanks so much for your helpful answers. I've been "updating" my listings--that is going through the motion of editing them in the hope that they will appear close to the top of searches. It takes forever! But that's OK because I love the Poshmark community! And you're one of the nicest and most helpful Poshers I've met!😊😊😊

thebrazenskirt @hail2thev Hi there - yes, absolutely...lots of haggling going on. :) Almost every buyer will ask for a better deal. Def read through this post and the questions above - I give all kinds of tips to recruit followers, but I've found the easiest way to recruit followers is to share items from other posher's closets. In turn, they will most likely share yours with their followers. Another helpful tip is to share, share, share! your items to Posh parties. When you share to parties, the thousands of other poshers who are attending the parties will have the opportunity to see your items!

marie1087 Paypal? Do you have one and would you recommend it?
Oct 09Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @marie1087 Yes, I have PayPal and I use it for a lot, BUT I do not use it for Poshmark. It is against Poshmark's rules and regulations (along with trading). When I first started, I had no idea these things weren't allowed! If Poshmark finds that a seller utilizes PayPal as their method for accepting money, sell we'd typically will no longer be allowed to use the Poshmark app. So, no, I wouldn't recommend it for PM use, but do love PayPay for other things! ;)

thebrazenskirt @cody7150 First of all, I'm really sorry I never answered this question! I'm not really sure how I missed it. By now, you probably already have the answer to this, but I'll give it a shot anyways. I've actually never heard the word "tagging" used on Poshmark, but I'm guessing what you were referring to is the use of the "@" symbol before a posher's username. It works the same way as mentioning someone on twitter or facebook - when you put the "@" sign in front of someone's username in Poshmark it will who up in their notifications. *Note: You don't have to use the "@" sign in front of the username if you are in that same user's listing.

becky1004
becky1004 Hi! After joining 3 mo. ago, I'm back asking for help again. I've been doing really well selling. I give bundle discounts, %10 for NWT and %15 for gently used, I think I got this idea from your closet. The problem is that today, I feel I gave away too much of my profit. I was asked to bundle 5 items, one item was a brand new pair of boots, I knew that once the discounts were applied this buyer was getting an excellent deal, the problem came when I had to pay the extra shipping charge for the extra 3 lbs. After paying for that extra $6, I feel I really did not make any money after my time, wrapping, card, tape and any usually insignificant cost, oh yeah driving to the Post Office, I told her I'd mail today (Sat.). I wanted to get it mailed out for her before it closed for the weekend. I know this is not the buyers fault, but mine. I'm just trying to figure out how price and how to do this again so I don't undersell my items.

thebrazenskirt @becky1004 Hi Becky! Sorry for the late reply...I just got back from holiday out of country. This question was posed to me at some point before and I responded with the following advice...though it is a personal choice based on whether or not this is a serious source of income for a seller or more of a hobby. (I fall more into the hobby category.) Sometimes I have encountered the same situation you have, but I have decided to just take a hit very now and again. Let ask you this...when you bundle NWT items with used items, do you give a 10% total discount, 15% total discount or discount the items individually based in whether it is new or used? Another thing I typically do on large bundles is charge extra for shipping and let the buyer know this beforehand. I usually just estimate how much in addition it will cost. Let me know if you have other questions! Happy Thanksgiving!

becky1004
becky1004 Thank you for taking your time from your busy schedule! I hope you had wonderful trip and happy Thanksgiving! I'm between jobs right now, so this has gone from hobby to "obsession" and I think I need to go back to hobby and not worry so much. I will next time ask the buyer to pay extra shipping or ask to split depending. I really appreciate your suggestions. You are a very kind person to answer all these questions. For me I think I just need bounce questions off someone and I usually after I think things over I come to the answer myself before I get an answer back (and it's the same conclusion). Thank you!!!

thebrazenskirt @dzirulz Hi there! I actually really like the Tyvek Priority Mail Envelopes. Those are the ones that are a floppier material and not the flat cardboard. I can usually fit 2-3 tops or 2 pairs of pants in them. I like to go into the post office to get them because I usually wait until the last minute to get a box, but you can find them here: https://store.usps.com/store/browse/productDetailSingleSku.jsp?productId=P_EP_14&categoryId=subcatMSS_PriorityMail

thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @amassey143 Hi girl! I would def read through some of the previous comments - a lot of good advice was tossed around about how to recruit more followers, but my top suggestions are: Share, share, share other poshers closets. The more you share, the more others will share in return...this gives your closet visibility to poshers who are not currently following. Also, share to posh parties! Posh parties happen 3 times a day and anyone who is participating in the party can see the items you are sharing. Make sure your items fit the party theme...this gives you a better chance of having your items chosen as "Host Picks." One last tip: Make sure your closet photos are crisp and clear, your items are ironed for photos and you have good descriptors for each item!

thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @katyscloset I didn't make my first sale until I had over 2,000 followers and some good "posh pals" helping me promote my closet. I might suggest that you work on getting more followers. Aside from the posh parties, only YOUR followers are seeing your items when you share them...so your closet visibility is minimal. There are so many ways to get followers and increase your visibility. My first thought is to just share the crap out of other posher's closets. In turn, those poshers will share yours. When other poshers share your closet ALL of their followers will see your items in their feeds...and a good bit of the time you'll get some followers. Search for poshers with similar style and size as you and share away! Hint: Look for poshers with a lot of followers and share their closets. If they share in return then your items will get a lot more visibility. One last piece of advice...make your closet as "pretty" as you can manage. Try on clothes for photos or arrange them in outfits...use collage apps (I like pic stitch) to show multiple angles and close ups of the clothing.

Jan 28Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @myguenevere Hi there and welcome to Poshmark! As far as adding additional photos: Click on the listing you'd like to add photos to, click "edit listing," and from there you should see 3 additional spaces to add photos right beside your main photo! You can also use collage apps (like pic stitch) to have multiple pics in your main photo. As far as PayPal goes...utilizing Paypal is against Poshmark's rules and regulations so I can't give you much advice there. 😊 I know there are other posher's who do it, but have also known a handful to be thrown off PM for utilizing PayPal. Let me known if you have any other questions! Happy Poshing!

Feb 18Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @ellejphoto Hi there! Welcome to Poshmark. When someone is brand new, I always suggest they check out the FAQ section to learn the basics. The FAQ section provides you some ways to generate followers. First and foremost, you can't really have followers until you begin listing items. Poshers will search for listing and once you have items, they will pop up in searches. Poshmark suggests having at least 10 items. You can also gain followers by: 1.) Following others who have similar style tastes; more often than not they will follow you back. 2.) Sharing other poshers closets; you will more than likely receive a share and potential follower. 3.) Share to posh parties; when you share to parties, all those participating in the party are able to see your items! Good luck!

reclaimedshop Q: How do you get to be a suggested user? How do items get picked for Posh parties? How do users get picked to host Posh parties?
Mar 07Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @fromtwotoone Hi there! I'll answer your questions in 3 different comments. The first - how to become a suggested user! There are a few different criteria you must meet to become a suggested user: 1. You have to be in good standing with the PM community and follow the terms of service (no trading, no paypal, etc.); 2. Have a stellar sales history!; 3. Clear cover shots and descriptions; 4. A lot of listings...:) PM reccommends at least 10.; 5. And, it helps to be a great networker - someone who connects with and educates others. There is no process for applying to be a suggested user - work hard and you'll get noticed!
Mar 08Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @fromtwotoone How items get picked for posh parties - I assume you're talking about how to get your items chosen as "Host Picks." Everyone can share their own items to Posh Parties and when you do, the hosts will be perusing all the items that are shared and have the opportunity to "highlight" you item if they love it: Rule #1 Follow the posh party theme! For instance, sharing yoga pants in a "Work Week Chic" party will probably not get your item chosen as a host pick. Rule #2: Hosts are just like you and I...everyday poshers! Network and make friends with your fellow poshers and when it's their time to host, they will more than likely share and "host pick" your items.
Mar 08Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @fromtwotoone How do users get picked to host parties? Good question. Lol. I've never had the opportunity to host a party, but have inquired about it. I would suggest emailing Poshmark, let them know you're interested in hosting a party and see what kind of response you get. :)

michelleannette @thebrazenskirt Hi Kay, thanks for offering support. I am really trying to build a closet and follow everyone who follow me, same thing with shares. What do you do when the seller is selling things that are not Posh allowed. I just had a seller follow me and gave me lots of share. She is selling perfume, bodylotion, intimate items. I just didn't know what to do. Then she asked me for my email so I could model something.???? Any thoughts? Thanks, MichelleAnnette
Jun 09Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @michelleannette Hi there! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I was hiking and didn't have phone access. :) My suggestion is to use your judgement when sharing items that are not allowed. Personally, I will not share those sorts of items because, as a Suggested User, I try to follow Posh rules as best as I can. Honestly, sometimes users (especially if they are new) are not even aware that certain items are not permitted. Typically, I'll go through the users closet and see if there are any items that are permitted and share those. I have shared my email with some of my posh friends, but otherwise I do not share email. If she wants you to model something, I suggest you model it and post it on your listing. That is also JUST A SUGGESTION and you should use your own judgement as far as that is concerned.
Jun 12Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @midnightcowboy In my opinion, it's inappropriate to say "Interested?" Actually, it's down right irritating. I usually say "Thanks for the like! Happy poshing!" or something of that nature. I also typically try to share a few items from their closet!

jcrewaddicts My money was redeemable so I requested a check June 30th, It's now July 6th and I still have not received the check with MY money on it and I emailed poshmark two times and no response. How long does it take for checks to come normally?
Jul 06Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @jcrewaddicts Hi there! June 30-July 6 is not that long of a time (and remember, businesses work within business days...meaning Monday-Friday and excluding holidays). So, if you think about it, there was only 4 business days in that period of time becuase of the 4th of July holiday. My suggestion is to change your redemption method to direct deposit for future sales. You will receive you money faster and directly to your account (usually within 2 business days depending on how fast your bank processes). The next time you go to redeem, choose "Bank Direct Deposit" and fill out the required information. I think you'll be happier with how fast you receive your money. As for the check you haven't received yet, I woudn't panic. I don't know that actual time, but from my own professional experience I would say give it 10 business days.

thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @lhewett01 Hi there! Since I've been on Poshmark, this has probably been the question that has been asked most. In fact, this question when I first started out --> I didn't make my first sale until my 4th week in! Upon first glance, I think you're off to a good start with your closet! Here is what I typically tell those looking for advice: 1. Make sure your closet is visually appealing! I think you're doing a great job with this, but there may be a few other things you can do (model the jewelry, take photos of your shoes with outfits, take multiple vantage points). Check out these visually appealing closets for more ideas: @wearinla @megcarlson27 @mschilly @mollydolly. And, "there are apps for that!" Check out Overgram and A Beautiful Mess to help with you cover shots. 2. Seek more followers! The more followers you have, the more your clothes will be shared and the more people will see them. To attract more followers, engage with the Poshmark community. If you see a posher that has the same style as you, let them know...share their items...and follow them! More than likely, they will return the favor (after all, that's posh etiquette 101!) 3. Share to posh parties every day! Parties maximize your opportunity for others to see your listings. When you share to a party, all those poshers who are participating in the party can see your listing (not just your followers). And, always follow the party theme, for example, don't share a skin tight, leopard print dress to a "Work Week Chic" party. If you stick with the theme, and you're lucky, a host will recognize your fabulous item and choose it as one of their "HOST PICKS." Host Picks show up in their own little showroom for all those interested to browse! *Note: Don't just share to post parties, share on your own feed. And, share other posher's items too! This will get your shares in return! 4. Be responsive to inquiries! When someone posts a comment/question about your item, do you best to get back to them promptly. If poshers are anything like me, I will move on to another closet if I do not get a response within a days time. There are obviously circumstances where you cannot respond immediately, but I always suggest a "I'm at work right now, but will get back to you as soon as I get home" response if doable! 5. Be patient - and put in the work! Your time will come. Remember, there are hundreds of thousands of other poshers trying to sell their items. What can you do to make your closet stand out?

thebrazenskirt @midnightcowboy Hi! So, labels for packages over 5 lbs will incur an extra label charge. Unfortunately, the seller (you!) is in charge of paying that extra shipping charge. The charge is automatically deducted from your earning/credit. To generate a new label, you need to go to your Account Tab --> My Sales --> Select Your Order --> Need New Shipping Label --> Need Heavier Weight Label. You'll want to select the TOTAL weight of your package. Here are the rates for shipping: Up to 5 lbs is FREE; 6 lbs is $3.99; 7 lbs is $7.98; 8 lbs is $11.97; 9 lbs is $15.96; 10 lbs is $19.95. As far as what to ship the dress in...you can ship it in any box big enough! (Just as long it is not a flat rate pre-paid box!)

p3nta6on If I offer free shipping on something how do I go about paying for that?? Thanks
Jul 24Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @p3nta6on Hey there! When you see a posher offer "free shipping" all that means is that they will discount $5 off the total (that's how much shipping costs.) For instance, if you purchased 2 shirts from me for $30, I would discount the total to $25 to make up for the shipping cost. There is no way for you to pay for the seller to pay for shipping on Poshmark! Note: if you are shipping an item that is over 2lbs, your shipping fee will go up! See my comment just above where I explain overweight shipping fees! Does that answer your question?

thebrazenskirt @erica1deinert Hey there! Sure, you can be considered new!...I still feel new sometimes because I am learning new things everyday and I've been on Posh for 2 years! Firstly, let me just say that you're off to a fabulous start with your closet. :) I always tell newbies to check out these closets for some "fresh" ideas for listings @mschilly, @megcarlson27 and @wearinla. I love how these girls have their closets set up and they are 3 different perspectives. As far as being a suggested user goes...quite honestly I think the qualifications have changed for how one becomes a suggested user - as well as how you are notified - since I was first chosen. However, I was notified with an email stating why I was chosen. If you want clarification on whether or not you are ranked as a suggested user, I would recommend reaching out to supportATposhmark.com (I've never had trouble receiving a response from them). On to hosting/host picks...you can inquire about hosting a party by reaching out to Poshmark Support as well. I imagine there may be a wait list and I'm not sure if there are specific requirements. Host picks: these can be tricky! I used to tell people to share like crazy to posh parties and to make sure that shared items fit with the party theme. HOWEVER, there are SO many more users now than what there used to be and parties get flooded with items. What I've learned from being a host is that there are a lot of poshers who lay in waiting for host names/parties to be released at the beginning of the week and then go directly to the hosts asking for items to be chosen as host picks. As a host, it can be overwhelming because you get a FLOOD (and I mean a complete downpour) of comments everyday, but amazingly it can also be helpful to hosts when picking items to share to the party. It's fun to browse around, but when you are expected to come up with 50-100 stellar picks...suggestions always help! I think that most party hosts are used to receiving lots of comments by this point, so why not try that strategy!? I might... :)

iheartmk Hello! I am completely new to this forum and would like to sell a few great items that others are sure love. I have not been able to find the "ground rules". Is there a fee to list and sell? (similar to ebay?) Are there restrictions to what you can list for sale, and is there a limit to the number of items one can post at a time? What is the accepted for of payment, or can the seller determine? Can I use PPl? And finally I think I read that when an item is sold, a postage paid envelope would be sent in order to ship the item to the buyer. Can you clarify? Who takes care of this? How do we pay for this service? Sorry for all the questions. I have so many more to go. This seems like a fantastic site and I would really like to join and get involved. Any information you can share with me is greatly appreciated. I sincerely thank you!

I will give you a short run down...! 1.) Yes, there is a 20% fee to sell. 2.) You can sell women's items and accessories (no men's or children's items...make up...electronics...). There is no limit, but PM recommends at least 10 items for a well rounded closet. 3.) You can only sell through PM. You can not sell through Ppl or take transactions offline. You can redeem through direct deposit or request a check me sent to you. 4.) Shipping is super easy. Once a buyer makes a purchase from your closet you will immediately be shipped a pre-paid label to your email on file. Just print, put on package and send! Note: The payment for shipping is charged to the buyer. Also note that if the package you mail is OVER 5 lbs, you will need to go into the order and print a heavier shipping label. The additional shipping is charged to you. Did I get everything? Welcome to posh!

liveloveoutpost
liveloveoutpost How do you trade on Poshmark?
Nov 11Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @liveloveoutpost Honestly, I don't trade. Poshmark's protection policy does not cover trading - so I just don't mess with it. It is "permitted" on the app, but there was a time when it wasn't allowed and was grounds for being kicked off the app. It's still frowned upon, but I know that there are many people who do it. I would recommend checking out Poshmark's FAQ page for more info on the trading policy!

Nov 23Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @pnasca What are you trying to upload? Just a photo? When you hit The sell button, instead of taking a picture click on the folder button in the bottom right-hand corner. That should bring up all of the pictures you've taken on your regular camera and you can choose which one to list. This is assuming you use an iPhone… I don't have an android!

One thing I messed up with was responding to people's comments. I didn't understand why people weren't getting them. It's because I wasn't using the @ symbol before their name! Dec 15Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @jeskvjn Unfortunately at this time ratings are only viewable to the seller. Kinda silly if you ask me, big you could always ask the seller to take a screenshot of their rating. If an item is not at all as described, you can file a dispute with Poshmark!

blolley
blolley @thebrazenskirt how do I share/add one of my items to a posh party? Thank you!!
Mar 23Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @blolley Posh parties occur three times a day: 12p, 3p and 10p (EST) and last for two hours. During the times posh parties are happening, all you have to do is hit the "share" button on the listing you want to share and you will be given an option to either share to your newsfeed OR share to the party. You would choose the party!

ninav11
ninav11 Hi I'm new to posh been on for about 2 weeks now. I'm not going to ask how to get more sales as I too have only sold 2 items but I read all your advice and I'm following them. Hopefully it will help. My question is on the news feed page how do you get your closet on there? Some have 3 to 4 pictures of there items and right below it says shop ash98 closet.
Apr 25Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @ninav11 You have to share your items for them to appear on your followers newsfeeds. You'll also notice that some of the listings say (for example) "thebrazenskirt shared 5 items from ninav11's closet. Shop ninav11's closet." Those appear on followers newsfeeds when someone else shares multiple items from your closet and vice versa. This isn't something that poshmark picks...it's up to you to share away for it to appear in the newsfeed.
Apr 25Reply
ninav11
ninav11 @thebrazenskirt ty so much for your response and for sharing my items. I now see how that comes up on the newsfeed however I meant how do I put my own. (Ex) right now on the news feed brittneyshea listed 12 items but I see them as four pictures together and just below it it says shop brittneyshea closet. Is she doing that or does posh group them like that? Does that make sense what I'm asking? Like I see you just added 2 dresses but they came up as separate listings.
Apr 25Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @ninav11 Yes, I understand what you are asking. It's the same as if someone else shares them. If you share multiple items it may show up in followers newsfeeds as a clump. Again, from my understanding, posh has nothing to do with how they appear. I would assume it's just a computerized system. In short, you have no control how your shared items appear in your newsfeed or in other's newsfeeds.

ninav11
ninav11 @thebrazenskirt ok now I understand. Ty so much. I just wanted to ask what u think of my closet? I know my pictures are not that great. Need to wrk on that. I also thought maybe it was my size? My prices r really low. I'm really just trying to let go of items I no longer use and 2 take the money and use it to buy items from other poshers I have so many things I want 2 buy already. Just need to make some sales to do it. 😀
Apr 25Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @ninav11 I think your prices are reasonable! Quality photos are important, but even I lack in that. I would say modeling items is best (again, I don't model all items just because I don't have time). I also think the less "noise" going on the photos is best...meaning I'd great rid of borders and other design elements that distract from the items. I used to do that and I was given the advice to nix them and that seemed to help my sales.

stunning_29 Hi! I was reading this & yes I'm a newbie. I waited a while before I listed any items. Actually bought several first. I spent 3 wks on & off just reading poshmark & looking at listings... May 26Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @stunning_29 Hey Michele! Thanks for stopping by! I'm not sure what you're asking me. Are you asking about the trading policy?
May 26Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @roccorocks Hi Julia. I apologize for the delay in answering your question. First, I would read through my questions/answers in this feed. Many people have asked this question and you may find some good feedback throughout. Below is an excerpt from the same question that can be found above:
May 26Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @roccorocks 1. Make sure your closet is visually appealing! I think you're doing a great job with this, but there may be a few other things you can do (model the jewelry, take photos of your shoes with outfits, take multiple vantage points). You can use apps to help with cover shorts: Overgram / A Beautiful mess.
May 26Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @roccorocks 2. Seek more followers! The more followers you have, the more your clothes will be shared and the more people will see them. To attract more followers, engage with the Poshmark community. If you see a posher that has the same style as you, let them know, share their items and follow them! More than likely, they will return the favor.
May 26Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @roccorocks 3. Share to posh parties! Parties maximize your opportunity for others to see your listings. When you share to a party, all those poshers who are participating in the party can see your listing (not just your followers). And, always follow the party theme. Don't share a skin tight, leopard print dress to a "Work Week Chic" party. If you're lucky, a host will recognize your fabulous item and choose it as one of their "HOST PICKS."
May 26Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @roccorocks 4.
May 26Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @roccorocks 5. Be patient - and put in the work! Your time will come. Remember, there are hundreds of thousands of other poshers trying to sell their items. (PS. Sorry for the multiple comment...Poshmark now limits comments to 500 characters!)

stunning_29
stunning_29 Sorry sweetie I probably didn't communicate clearly. I'm a newbie 😊. I was just reading this thread & saw ur answers to several questions. Which helped ALOT! I assume there is no trading correct? & I had mentioned I had noticed that trading is goin on& ALOT of sellers advertising about the other websites such as Mer.. & purchasing on WISH another website then marking it up at least 50%. Is that allowed? I wldnt think so...?
May 26Reply
stunning_29
stunning_29 Also shipping seems to b a huge problem. . W p.o. not scanning Posh?. Looking to educate myself the right way& found you! Hopefully I won't overload you w questions! ?😊
May 26Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @stunning_29 At one point, trading was prohibited. However, if you look through Poshmark's FAQ page you will see that you are allowed to trade, but if a transaction goes wrong Poshmark can't do anything. Trading is frowned upon and I wouldn't do it unless you absolutely trust the seller. As for advertising sales on other sites, that is prohibited for obvious reasons.
May 27Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @stunning_29 I'm not sure what you mean about shipping being a problem. I've only ever had one real shipping problem and it was my own stupid fault for printing out the wrong label. Lol. I think Posh makes it pretty easy to ship.
May 27Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @stunning_29 Some sellers do have wholesalers licenses and will purchase items from places like wish, Sammy dress, light in the box...etc. and mark up. It is allowed...this is a business for some people. It is your prerogative if you want to purchase from them or not. Items purchased from wholesale websites are hit or miss in size of quality...so choose wisely when purchasing.
May 27Reply
stunning_29
stunning_29 Ok hun thankyou for answering my questions! ☺ . I think the question I had as far as shipping was the post office scanning the item. . I just had my 1st sale last nite so I'm goin thru the steps to ship the item at the post office. ...

thebrazenskirt @emham1109 I just took a look at your closet and I honestly think your prices are completely reasonable. It's all a personal preference, but when someone sends me an EXTREME lowball offer through the offer button (which I hate, btw), I typically decline and state to the buyer "I keep my prices low from the start, so I don't negotiate on items unless bundled." Or something to that effect.
Jun 03Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @emham1109 On occasion...if something has been in my closet for a REALLY long time, I'll give a 10-15 percent discount depending on whether the item is gently used or NWT. But is always communicate via comment...I just can't take that offer button!

kbuenostyle
kbuenostyle Hi Kay! I'm so sorry if this has been answered, I read some of the comments but admit I didn't yet read through them all. I have read the Poshmark TOS over and over and I'm still confused about bathing suits and undergarments that aren't explicitly noted as NWT. I thought they had to be NWT even if the seller is claiming they were never worn (in other words, no NWOT allowed) but I just saw a suggested user's closet with a bunch of sold bikinis that didn't specify one way or another....
Jun 12Reply
kbuenostyle
kbuenostyle ...(cont.) They just said "in great condition" which I take to mean they were used. So what's the deal? Thanks!😊
Jun 12Reply
thebrazenskirt
thebrazenskirt @klg139 Yes, sellers are not supposed to sell bikinis that are used, however I don't see how Poshmark can regulate this. There are people all over PM selling items they shouldn't be selling (kids clothing, men's clothing, makeup...), but PM can't bust them all! 😛 As a seller, I wouldn't list used swimwear and as a buyer I wouldn't buy it!
Jun 12Reply
kbuenostyle
kbuenostyle Thanks for clarifying! Even if it were not a guideline, I wouldn't want to buy a used swimsuit either...but to each his own. Seems icky to me though!

charliee33 Hello😁 just went through some of your Q & A’s , very helpful, I’m fairly new to Poshmark ( September) sold some stuff elsewhere, however Poshmark drew me in lol, sold about 7 items, but it seems others are displaying more professionally (models) , how is that done? I’m watching videos & learning something new every day, however where do so many people find NWT items?🤔🙏any suggestions will help, thank you ☺️

nascarfa6 Hi , I have been on here since last March . Due to losing my job because of Covid ☹️ . Just wondering how does everyone get so many followers? I have been sharing a lot and still only have like 6500 .
