Ashley Ceramics England Royal Wedding Commemorative Pie Plate

Ceramic stoneware pie plate by Ashley Ceramics of England Pre-owned vintage This plate commemorates the marriage of Princess Dianna to Prince Charles of Whales. Features line drawing of both the prince and princess, with a crest of flowers and leaves. Written on the plate is the date of the royal wedding, Princess Dianna and Prince Charles names and the words ICH DIEN translated to English I Serve. This is a 9” plate around and approximately 1.5” deep. This plate has some flaws due to use and age include some light scratches in the glaze. There is a spot on the inside that looks like a drip of colored glaze and feels like a small bump. The bottom has three places that could be chips, on more likely, but the other two look more like manufacturers flaws when finishing the bottom. The bottom also has some lumps where the bottom was not finished well. In addition some discoloring or dark marks are on the unglazed base. A great display piece to add to a collection of Royal Wedding memorabilia. Please examine photos closely for condition Color may very due to lighting and differences in viewing devices.
