Mopa Mopa Aruba Wood Carving 4.5" x 4.5" Each piece of Mopa Mopa is unique. This uses a type of natural rubber (extracted from a tree called mopa-mopa) which is colored and then stretched over woodwork pieces; finally, the skillful artisan uses a special knife to cut and create the many beautiful designs that characterize this artistic technique. Has typical Colombian landscapes and geometrical figures. The complexity of the process is a natural barrier that prevents any duplication or counterfeit of the art. Made by hand, carved out of wood and decorated with the product of boiled buds/leaves, from the Mopa Mopa tree, combined with mineral powders.
