Art Deco 1930’s Italian Purple Sommerso Bead Necklace

These fabulous art deco beads are purple Sommerso, a hard to find color, loaded with glittering bronze aventurine! It’s very hard to get an accurate picture of the color, my camera wants to see them as brown. Each handmade bead is separated with three seed beads, the outer are light purple and the inner gold. I just restrung this on double strands of purple silk as the original strands were weak and stretched. The original screw clasp closes quite securely. The other thing I love about this necklace is it’s a bit longer than most, measuring 19 3/4”, perfect for layering!
