Appliquéd & Embroidered Arpillera Panel

Charming hand sewn and embroidered arpillera textile depicts the day-to-day of village life. The colorful handmade appliquéd work includes seven scenes of men and women toiling and going about their daily business, including sweeping, laundry, tilling and chopping wood. The front doors of each of the five houses open to reveal another layer of appliqué. The fabric folk art panel measures 15” by 19” and is bordered with triple crocheted yellow wool. The back is lined with a cream colored cotton material. Really well made and fun to look at.
