Apollo 🪽❤️‍🩹

Update 9/6: With tears pouring down my face and a pain in my heart, we got the news today that Apollo has lymphoma. This is an unexpected and shocking discovery that we are still trying to process. My closet has been on vacation mode for a while because of my own health conditions limiting my ability to move. His liver biopsy has been canceled by his doctor. Will update if I’m able to once I have a clear head. 🫶🏼 Update: Apollos Bile Acids test shows liver function still. His level was at 23, once it hits 25+ that indicates there is no function/not functioning properly. An Internist won’t see them until they hit the 25 mark. The plan right now is to be on “liver disease management” and continue to give him SAMe & add in Denamarin to try to slow down the process. Meet Apollo! Apollo has been with me for 10 years. He is my child 🐾🤍 We have been keeping an eye on him and doing tests every 4-6 months for the past year and a half. Sadly I got the news from his amazing Vet that he is officially diagnosed with liver disease. The goal is to keep him healthy and happy and out of liver failure. I will never ask for handouts, but I will do whatever I can to keep him with me as long as I possibly can. I’ve never been able to have my own children and when I say that he is my child, I say that with my whole heart.
