I am trying to find a pair of pants in a "tobacco" color. As everyone has a different perception of color names, this is sooo difficult! Just for the heck of it, is this color more yellow/ ochre or brown?

@emilydawn hi! I would say these lean more yellow, like a true mustard. The last two pictures with better lighting show the color more accurately. Happy to take more pictures for you later today if you are still interested! if it's of any help, I've seen an Everlane color called Oak Brown that I think is closer to what you are looking for.
