It can be used as a plant or pot holder or as a vase. The Jar has no ships & no cracks. The pictures imperfections on the jar are just glare. There are three adorable cherubs playing in the clouds on one side, and cherubs painting on the other side. There are lots of hand painted gold accents all around the piece.
