Antique Yo-yo Quilt, Suffolk Puff Coverlet Popcorn Quilt (appx 96”x90”)

During the Great Depression, yo-yo Quilts were very popular because they were made from small scraps of fabric making them more affordable to create. Any fabric could be used, and feed sacks were a common material source. This large yo-yo quilt (appx 96” x 90”) is highly collectible with desirable shades of red and blue calicos, including some feed sack prints. This amazing work of art took countless hours to create and is in excellent vintage condition. A small number of the yo-yo’s have loose threads and need to be secured, and there are a few areas that could be mended on the backside (see photos). I have not attempted to do any mending in order to preserve the historical integrity of the piece. The quilt appears clean even though I have not attempted to launder or dry clean. I recommend consulting a professional should you desire to clean or mend this quilt in order to protect your investment.
