Antique wooden shoe form from 1930s. Hand painted design on front. Not sure when the design was painted on it, but it is old, too. Heel has a metal piece and there's a piece on top where it screwed onto a stand. Says "United Last Co." on one side, "Texan" on the other. Painting is ribbons and toys with a poem: "Dust be still, Cobwebs go to sleep, I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep!" 6 1/2 inches long, 2 3/4 inches high, 2 3/8 inches wide. Measurements indicate it was for making kid's shoes. Good condition for age and use. It was obviously used to make shoes for a long time. It has wear, patina on metal heal, tack marks on bottom. Couple cracks on back from use. See photos. Painting excellent. Great for retro decor or a collection.
