Antique Wm. Rogers Co. Peerless/Leader Pattern 1888 Sterling Silver Spreader Butter Knife Beautiful silver butter spreader knife in the Peerless/Leader pattern. This pattern was introduced in 1888 and features an ornate design & exquisite craftsmanship. This is unmarked but the pattern is known to be manufactured under several company names including Holmes & Edwards, Hartford Silver Plate & Rogers (to name a few). It could be several other makers. I believe this is sterling silver although I cannot find the mark. It is non magnetic, including the blade. It has a lovely antiqued silver patina. It measures 7.5" long and weighs 36g.
