Do you have pictures of the silver marks stamping to indicate it is sterling & year produced? What's the height of this safari flask?

@suzieblakr if it’s American made, it should be stamped “sterling”. If English made, it will have silver marks indicating silver quality, city & year produced. Otherwise, it’s only silver plated.

@suzieblakr 142 is series number. It has no bearing if it’s sterling or not. If it’s English, there are no assay marks which is required by law to assess taxes against genuine sterling silver. If there are no assay marks & it’s not American, it’s only silver plate.

If it's English sterling silver, there will be three marks: one determines silver quality/era, city produced & year produced...and then there is the maker's mark. Your flask doesn't sound to have any of these assay marks, which is usually on the neck of the bayonet top and the side of the cup if it's sterling silver (assuming it's English made). If it's French or German, it will state "800" if it's sterling, which is a lesser quality sterling. Learn more here: https://www.925-1000.com
