Antique Wheeler and Wilson Sewing Machine parts box

No maker’s mark, but we believe this to be a Wheeler and Wilson oak box. A good looking old sewing parts box features dovetail joints and still looks great with minimal patina. It does have some age appropriate slight scuffs and scrapes. The burgundy velvet interior is fantastic, but is missing a tack. The push latch has lost its tension and does not work as designed to hold the lid snugly closed, but the lid opens and closes nicely as the hinges are very solid. 8-5/8” x 3-1/8” x 2-5/8” of early American craftsmanship.
