Antique Westerwald "Story of Suzanne" stoneware ewer, beer jug EUC $185 Excellent condition 9-1/2 inches tall Salt-glazed pottery from the Westerwald region of Germany with cobalt blue designs on a grey stoneware body. Possibly from the 19th century.  Westerwald stoneware jugs were produced from the early 17th century until the late 19th century.  Later jugs, especially from the 19th century, were often more elaborate and intended for display rather than practical use.
