Antique Wall Salt Box Vintage Primitive Wood 9" Tall x 5" Wide x 4” Deep See Pic

This is a primitive/antique piece that appears to be handmade. It uses tiny nails almost look like brads on the side for hinges. I suspect these may have been replaced at sometime, but I don’t know for sure. This came from a Midwest estate and was said to be made in the late 1800s to early 1900s. Again, I have no paperwork for it. I have my mother‘s which she eventually would put her recipe cards in sideways that she used all the time so I put one in there to show you how she used hers. I do have the provenance of hers, but it’s not for sale.
