Antique Victorian gold filled woman with dog bridge carved shell cameo brooch

Excellent antique condition, there is some rubbing to gold fill throughout however this piece is in spectacular shape for its age (circa 1860s-1880s) and retains all original components. Landscape scene is an unusual one, rich in symbolism, depicting a woman and dog on a bridge over a river, evoking themes of loyalty and perhaps loss and it's not unlikely that this is a mourning brooch.
