Antique Victorian Tailcoat, Ladies Waistcoat Bodice Jacket, Corset Style

A lovely, true-antique ladies jacket, dating from the Victorian era. Tailcoat style, open front, fitted with an inner bodice that clasps shut with hooks and eyes. Inner structure has some steel boning around the waist. All done by hand, with truly incredible details and fabulous puffed shoulders. Fabric is a charcoal faded black, with a caramel colored inner lining. It appears to be a stiff cotton. Best for careful wear or decor / study. This jacket is quite small, modeled on myself as an XXS-XS Petite, it is just nearing a bit too tight on me. Approximate measurements Pit to pit: 14.5in Sleeve: 23in Waist: 11.5in Front length: 17in (bodice) - 26.5in (front tails) Back length: 31.5in In very nice antique condition with wear expected of age. There are small pinholes scattered throughout, nothing horrible. Smells a bit dusty, but is free of staining, no odors, etc. (passes my inspection as a hardcore germaphobe -) overall structurally sound, ready to be loved and cared for in the collection of a fellow historical fashion enthusiast.
