Measurements: Length: 7.5 in (19.05 cm) Width: 7.5 in (19.05 cm) Height: 1.5 in (3.81 cm) In good antique preowned condition Gently used/displayed but not abused Slight ware and scratches to outer box, sticker and residue on the base, decided to leave on as didn't want to cause any damage to base (see photos) Slight ding to the lid adds to charm of it's age (see photos) Paint Loss/chipping on the interior of box and lid due to age, use, and storage (see photos) No chips, cracks, or repairs NOTE from Research: This antique box dates from the 1800s. It's made from wood and/or papier mâché which has been lacquered black on the outside and orange/red on the interior. The lid has been hand-painted with a floral pattern of colorful pansies. It was likely made as a handkerchief box but is a good size to be put to other uses. This box is in a good usable condition with a few surface blemishes inside and out (see images).
