The product is a collection of antique Victorian die cut embossed calling cards and loose paper ephemera scraps. The items were manufactured in the United States and Germany during the 19th century. There are 9 calling cards in which the top design layer lifts up to reveal a script printed name on bottom layer. I did add one die cut piece, the basket of flowers, that is vintage, but not antique from the 1800s. These collectibles are unique pieces of history that offer a glimpse into the social and cultural norms of the time period.
Condition: All die cut pieces, except for the basket of flowers, have discoloration, creases, wear and tear consistent with age. I have included notes on some of the photos describing damage to specific pieces. Also, see last photo displaying the backside of this collection. The majority of these pieces have remnants of dried glue & paper showing that at some point they were attached to a mat board or paper. Please enlarge and review all photos as they are part of the description.
The intricate designs and craftsmanship of the calling cards and ephemera scraps make them nice additions to any Victorian era collection, whether you plan to use them in your scrapbooks, journals or as embellishments in your framed art.
