A genuine antique Victorian copper brown silk high neck bodice blouse with ruched pleated purple silk trim and a pigeon front. This antique piece is extremely small and I do not recommend trying to wear it, although, it is in very good structural condition. Bust only 27 -28" Waist 22" Across the shoulder is only 14" The sleeves are extremely tight. The beautiful copper silk is figured and the purple trim is an unusual touch for the Victorian era. The sleeves have the same trim as does the neck. It has the fastening hooked inner bodice with the puffed overlayer on top. It is lined in polished cotton fabric with stays and hand stitching. This lovely bodice is in near excellent condition with only a slight near tear on the one elbow and the inner cotton lining is splitting at areas. The silk is very sound, but it will Not take stress to the fabric. I am selling this as a study piece, for ones collection or for a pattern.
