Please note, I am not cleaning it, nor have I attempted to. This unique and antique brooch features a "C" clasp and lots of beautiful real turquoise. It had alterations in the back, as you can see. These alterations were made in the late 1800's to around 1910, which means this brooch dates prior to those dates. It has been suggested that it was an earring made in the 17th to 18th century. The metal is still being analyzed. I just want to give y'all a chance to consider if this would be a great addition to your collection.

darthteegee @elijane0315 Oh ty! I bought it from a local Seminole man who collected rare pieces. He never found the origin. All of my description is a guess until the experts finish evaluating it. It looks to have been altered over time. That is the mess on the back. They tried to cover its original use. I have to get an archeologist to look at it after the jeweler. He had never seen anything like it.
