Antique - Set of 2 “Sandwich Glasses”

Two gorgeous footed beverage glasses from the 1876 Cape Cod Collection by Avon in pristine condition. No cracks or chips. Beautiful translucent deep burgundy color! Reminiscent of early Americana pressed glass featuring intricate rosetta designs, background stippling, & brilliant craftsmanship reflected of that time. The coined name Sandwich glass becoming a generic term for pressed glass was due to the quality pieces of Boston & Sandwich Glass Works. Exciting statement pieces with many uses!
