This is a gorgeous antique French faience pitcher by Utzschneider & Cie, made in Sarreguemines, France, in the highly collectible Calcutta pattern. Featuring intricate red (pink) transferware with an ornate floral and geometric motif, this large pitcher dates to the late 19th to early 20th century.
Marked on the base: “Calcutta U & Cie Sarreguemines”, along with incised numbers and a red artist’s mark.
