Phenomenal vintage Southeast Asian handwoven basket, likely from Northern Thailand or Laos. Crafted from bamboo or rattan in a tight herringbone weave with a square base and slightly domed lid. The top shows a clean, symmetrical convergence of the weave and a beautifully aged reddish-brown patina, likely from decades of use and smoke exposure. Believed to date from the early to mid-20th century based on construction style and material aging. Structurally solid yet slightly flexible, showing only one small spot of loosened weave at the lid's edge — the only visible wear. Lid fits snugly and basket holds its shape with ease.
