Antique Rogers Bros 1910 Concord Floral Swirl Sugar Sauce Spoon Nickel Silver
The Rogers Brothers—William, Asa, and Simeon—established their business in 1847 in Hartford, Connecticut, pioneering electroplating techniques to produce affordable silver-plated flatware. Their operations, through various iterations, eventually merged into the Meriden Britannia Co., with the "1847 Rogers Bros" trademark adopted around 1862. In 1898, Meriden Britannia and other silver companies consolidated into the International Silver Company (ISC). Rogers Bros became a major brand within this conglomerate, with production extending well into the mid-20th century. Rogers Bros was one of the most prolific and influential American silverplate manufacturers. Even though these pieces are plated, they reflect historical milling and design trends, making them collectible—not just functional.
