Pre-Owned in Very Good Condition for it's Age, Rare Antique "FIDO" Cast Iron Still Bank, "DSEN PAT. 1914" on back Patented with flat head screw
This vintage cast iron bank is an example of the FIDO bank made by Hubley. According to "The Penny Bank Book" by Andy and Susan Moore Hubley produced Fido banks from 1914 to 1946. This bank has its original paint. There is paint loss and chipping as shown in the pictures. Overall this is a nice vintage bank to add to a collection.
This adorable cast iron still bank patented 1914 features a charming white and black terrier. Collar marked "Fido". While showing some wear, the original factory paint is in superb condition compared to many examples. As a result this little guy retains a highly expressive look and attractive countenance.
