Antique - Quadruple Silver plate WM Rogers embossed dish with handles

Antique WM Rogers Quadruple Silver Plate Handled Dish with beautifully embossed floral decoration and twisted handles  These unique handles have a beautiful  leaf covering at the attachment joint providing a delicate and intricate  design detail.   This gorgeous little bowl is about 4" wide and 2" tall, it's marked WM Rogers Quadruple 1731.   The insignia with an (anchor) Rogers (anchor) indicates it would have been made somewhere between 1865 and 1898.  This Victorian design of electroplated quadruple silver is a rare find.  Quadruple silver plate is some of the highest quality made during this era and contains 4 times the amount of silver as "Standard" silver plate.
