Antique Print 1823-1860 "Pecheur de lile de Schokland in a Wooden Worm Hole Frame. This print depicts the traditional costume of a fisherman from the former Island of Schokland Netherlands. Schokland is a significant historical site and a symbol of the Netherlands' ongoing battle against rising water levels. The original engraving was made by an anonymous artist after an initial work by Ackerman. This is a beautiful antique print in a rustic wooden worm hole frame. The frame is new, but the print is vintage. The frame measures 9"x 11" the inside of the frame measures 7"x 5". This is a great print for a library or office and has wonderful history.
