Antique Porcelain Game Bird Cabinet Plate.

This game plate measures 7.75" across and has scalloped edges and a draped motif accented by fancy gold trim. Probably German, though unmarked, this plate features an adult grouse. These plates were mostly used for decor rather than dining, as wall decor ,on a stand or in glass fronted cabinets. Up close, this porcelain is obviously very old and in good condition with no chips or cracks.
