The first hooked American rugs date to the 1840s. They are distinctive to the United States or North America. They were mostly produced in the Northeast USA and Maritime Canada at first, and then started to spread across the northern US as a small local cottage business. This beautiful oval toss rug features a floral pattern and was purchased in Florida. Multicolor design with shades of red, burgundy, light blue, dusty blue, pink, yellow, and light brown. light green, olive green, and cream. This rug is a rare, unique, unicorn find.
