Charming antique hand painted Nippon pedestal compote, dating to the late Meiji–early Taisho period (circa 1891–1921). * Maker: Morimura Brothers (early Noritake) – green wreath Hand Painted Nippon mark * Design: Raised white moriage beading, cobalt cartouches with hand painted pink roses, gold gilt floral stenciling * Form: Miniature pedestal compote / footed candy dish * Dimensions: Approx. 3.75” diameter x 2” tall * Condition: Very good antique condition. Light wear to gold trim and surface scratches consistent with age. No chips, cracks, or repairs. A wonderful collectible piece of early Japanese export porcelain — ideal for display in a Nippon or Noritake collection.
