Antique Moroccan brass and copper powder flask, likely late 19th to early 20th century. Handmade with repousse floral and leaf motifs, copper medallion details, and small dangling charms along the bottom edge. Nice, thick construction - domed shape. All appliques and charms intact.
Originally used for storing gunpowder, these flasks were crafted by Moroccan or Berber artisans and are now collected as examples of North African metalwork. Beautiful patina and workmanship make this a striking display or conversation piece. Excellent antique condition with age-appropriate patina and wear; cord appears to be a later addition (mid 20th century silk or rayon) in keeping with its vintage display use.
A rare and authentic decorative piece of Moroccan folk art.
