Antique Metal Scottie Dog on Marble Onyx Base

3” x 2 1/4” x 2” measurements. This cute little black metal Scottie is sitting on a piece of marble or onyx. I’m not sure what this was used for. It could be a little change or what-have-you tray. I have a feeling it was once a part of a smoke stand or desk set. Some marks in the top of the onyx/marble as shown. I don’t know if it is in the marble itself or if it is a chip. Whatever it is, it doesn’t detract from it. I’ve never tried to clean it. Genuine antique.
